Charmaine Bacon: Flute
Originally from Russell, Manitoba, Charmaine holds a BMus and MMus in flute performance from the Universities of Manitoba and Toronto. She studied orchestral performance at The Glenn Gould School of Music in Toronto, Ontario. Charmaine plays piccolo & 1st flute with the Winnipeg Wind Ensemble, is the artistic director of the Wind Chamber Flute Orchestra and is curator of her own chamber recital series, featuring her two woodwind quintets: Canadian Bacon and Hurrycane Wind Quintet. Charmaine teaches flute and piano at her home studio in Silver Heights and is a frequent coach and flute clinician at schools across the province. Charmaine has worked with Manitoba and Regional Honour band flute sections and enjoys working regularly with flutists in the St James School Division.
